About our activities
The Babin Nos Research Society is dedicated to the preservation, study and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of Stara Planina, with a special emphasis on medicinal and wild plants. Through scientific and research work, education and connecting experts from different fields, we strive to contribute to the development of awareness of the importance of protecting natural resources. One of our most significant activities is the organization of an international conference on medicinal and wild plants, which is held every other year and gathers researchers, professors, students and nature lovers from the country and abroad. The conference is a space for exchanging knowledge, presenting new research and establishing cooperation between institutions and individuals.
In addition to conference activities, the Society participates in field research, educational workshops, expert lectures and promotion of the natural values of Stara Planina through various projects and publications.
In the coming period, we plan to expand the range of our activities by organizing scientific camps, workshops for young researchers, environmental actions and international projects, with the aim of making the Babin Nos Research Society a recognizable center for the study and preservation of the natural wealth of this unique area.
